Hi there:  Just gone RBI with Farmside.  So far so good.  This device comes with a standard phone outlet that allows one to plug a standard phone in and make and receive calls.  Wondering if it is possible to somehow connect the device back into the phone jack and allow other phones in the house to operate normally.  I would expect that the only thing that needs doing would be to disconnect the master socket from the external copper.

Is this possible and has anyone tried this?

Thanks
Scott

This is the standard installation with Voice over Fibre where the household phone loop is wired into a socket which is in term connected to either the ONT or Router. If you're going to do this all you need to really do is disconnect the Chorus line going into your house at the ETP and grab a few termination gel caps to protect the line from moisture (normally referred as Scotchlok's). If there are some Chorus techs hanging around you can normally ask them really nicely and they'll hand you some.

From here, feed the router's phone port into the household wiring and you should be go.
