Hello,
Hopefully there is someone around that can help me.

I have developed a little problem with some of the dos commands i use every now and then, some will run without the .exe extention and some wont, but they will work from any dir.

dir, cd\ will work, but ipconfig wont without ipconfig.exe or help etc..

Window 7 ultimate 64 bit.

Anyone help?
Thanks

Have you changed any environment variables recently?

I expect the ones you find work without an extension are built-ins - they are not programs, they're special commands built into cmd.exe. dir and cd are examples of these.

Other than that, not sure sorry... some google-fu might yield an answer.

As said some commands are built-in - you won't find a "dir.com" or "cd.exe" in your drive.

Good that you got this working now.
