Brumfondl: So we have an official release date:

Another version of windows, yawn

Bing NZ finally coming out of beta at the same time to support Cortana functionality in NZ - now that is friggin exciting. If we can have a supermarket duopoly here then why not a search duopoly too

Search Duopoly? Did the others go out of business?

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

My main PC has an AMD Radeon R7 series R7 240 Dual Graphics. Windows 10 just will not work with this set up when I tried I was in a fatal GPU Memory error loop. I hope this is sorted by July 29.

There were some new AMD drivers released for Windows 10 a couple weeks ago, try install that first then upgrade

I did that, I have also tried with Dual Graphics Turned off. The odd thing is the Laptop I was testing on (given to my son as his PC died) had an A6 with Radeon Dual Graphics and I didn't have issues with that.

I would but I don't have a machine with Win 10 Installed and on my main PC it crashes on boot up.

What happens when you use device manager to uninstall the device, then let windows figure out what it needs?

I want very much to use Windows 10 so if the AMD Radeon is going to be an issue I may have to replace the GPU with a Nvidia GPU as long as the AMD CPU is compatible.

That resulted in Windows 10 version of the Blue Screen of death, at least that is a lighter colour. The PC would boot to a point then crash, It just could not load the Windows GUI, it would try then fail.

My work laptop updated yesterday.  Took from 8.30am to 1.10PM   but this release is way faster than the previous one   but still slower than Win  7 on the other partition.

One thing that still irks me is that I can't drag items from the Start menu to the desktop  or from the task bar to the desktop.   It works fine if I install Classic Shell.  All my  work apps seem to work fine now.   DU Meter had a hiccup but they released a Win 10 version  end of May so an update fixed that.  Filehipo updater crashes with this release of win 10.  Wether I'll update my home Win 7 PC is doubtful as I'mm sure that my Canon printer / scanner will not have any drivers..
