Hi

Can anyone recommend a safe (free) alternative to Winzip?  

please!

I keep forgetting my trial version of winzip has expired which means I can't open zipped files... and I refuse to pay for something that used to be free on older versions of Windows OS.

windows can create and open zip files as part of the operating system since vista/7
