Tried searching all over the Internet for a solution to this to no avail.

ASUS N550JV laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063
Latest Windows Updates applied
BIOS version: American Megatrends inc. N550JV.208 which appears to be that latest available.

When I shutdown Windows 10. (Start --> Power Switch Icon --> 'Shut down') The USB ports will remained powered. For example, any External USB bus powered Hard disks attached will perpetually spin until unplugged. Any USB device with an indicator light, will still be lit.

Unticked the "Turn on Fast Startup (recommended)" setting under the power options as per common recommendation over the Internet, yet the USB ports will remained powered after shutting down this laptop

I've tried doing a full shutdown via the command prompt using "shutdown /s" yet the USB ports remained powered.

Already tried resetting Windows 10 to factory / default (though to address another problem of Intel Graphics Continually crashing and restarting - turned out to be a botched driver update)

Any suggestions / ideas to get the USB Ports to completely power down when I shutdown Windows on this laptop?

Is there a little thunderbolt icon on the port?

Several of my HP notebooks had this as an option for charging devices when the laptop was off. Not all the ports did it though. Do all of the ports stay powered?

Pretty sure my latest Asus does it too.
