I'm going quietly mad.  When I surf to a website, like Herald or Stuff or Listener or Google News, click on a story on the home page, return from that story to the home page, a wheel-down on my mouse (wired MS mouse) takes me back to the previous story, not down on the home page -- UNLESS I click on a blank bit of the home page before down-wheeling (and I annoyingly often forget to do this).  If I forget, and return to the story, then an up-wheel returns me to the home page.  I'm using Edge on Win 10, and Adblock.

I'd be eternally graceful to (and will upvote) anyone who can point out what setting or whatever I need to set to get rid of this stupid behaviour.
