As most know I have a limited knowledge of computers but i love to play.

So I just got hold of a new main machine a HP Z420 Workstation - E5-1620v0 3.6GHz 16GB

The machine came loaded with windows 10 on a 128gb ssd drive.

83 gb is already taken up with windows etc I intend to load photoshop office etc

Meaning very soon the 128 will be full.

QUESTION. Should i change the 128gb to a 500gb or 1tb as the cdrive OR just add a D Drive 500gb ssd and offset the installs to the d drive?

Think that makes sense......

So a conclusion to this update:

Thanks OmniousS

OmniouS:

You can't go wrong with these: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/HDDSAM61500/Samsung-860-EVO-500GB-SSD-V-NAND-SATA-III-6GBs-RWM

I did get one of these but from Computer lounge they were cheaper

I then used AndrewNZ suggestion of Macrium Reflect only took me two attempts to figure it out

I didnt do any of the suggested clean out stuff didnt want to push my luck, above my paygrade!

Once again thanks to all!

So anyone want to buy a 128gb ssd drive??
