Hi All - has anyone experienced a similar problem? It seems like the browser is running sluggish after the Yosemite upgrade..I tried various solutions via google however no luck as of yet. It takes like a few seconds to load like Gmail/Hotmail just general browsing.

Fine for me.

Got this today from another forum I belong to

The update Mac OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite is coming out shortly.

Several news articles out today about the changes. Here the list from
9to5Mac.

∙ Resolves an issue that may cause WiFi to disconnect
∙ Resolves an issue that may cause web pages to load slowly
∙ Fixes an issue that caused Spotlight to load remote email content
when the preference was disabled in Mail
∙ Improves audio and video sync when using Bluetooth headphones
∙ Adds the ability to browse iCloud Drive in Time Machine
∙ Improves VoiceOver speech performance
∙ Resolves an issue that causes VoiceOver to echo characters when
entering text on a web page
∙ Addresses an issue that may cause the input method to switch
languages unexpectedly
∙ Improves stability and security in Safari

I've been running 10.10.2 for a while and can confirm Safari is still a bag of pony poo.

My safari was running slow, but I had the SSD full to capacity.
After freeing up many gigs its back to being very fast.

Try clearing your cache, I did that at the same time, and it made a big difference.

On heavy pages I've had Safari stalling where the whole application would freeze up for maybe 5-10 seconds then everything goes back to normal. Hopefully the improvements with the 10.10.2 will bring some relief but apart from that things have been pretty stable with Safari. Firefox on the other hand resulted in my whole computer locking up and fans going crazy which required me to do a forced shutdown by holding the power button down.

Yes, from time to time.

Some websites worse than others - the London Times website is atrocious - can take up to a minute to load.

Installed 10.10.2 this morning.  Safari pages now load without the hesitation I've experienced since Yosemiti.
