Ok this is an actual thing that happend to me late on Friday night. I was playing Halo on my PC when all of a sudden I lost my wireless internet connection (very rare). As I lost my internet connection, ALL the touch lamps around my home began playing up, all at the same time: The ones that were off, turned themself on, the ones that were on, went up one level of brightiness (they have 3 levels of brightness). The ones that were at the 3rd level of brightness turned themself off.

Does anyone have a scientific explanation for this? Can a WLAN router cause this?

What you've experienced is a power "flick". It's a very short outage that has reset some appliances and not others. We have those Touchlamps too and they are very sensitive to power flicks.

If your Wireless Router is still not working, turn the power off, wait a few seconds and then turn it on again.  All should be normal after that.

atmospheric conditions could wipe out signal easily, and those touch lamps will respond to external influences occasionally...

Did you experience any fast-moving bright light and inexplicable time dilation phenomena at the same time?

You may wish to have yourself checked for implants.
