Hi everyone,

The foodscape of ChCh has changed a lot since the shakes. Our favourite places for certain dishes are no longer there! For example, we used to enjoy the Hainanese chicken rice from the Hereford St food court. The place is no longer there of course. Does anyone know any other places in ChCh that do this dish well?

Cheers,
D.

Dont know, but I do know that Lone Star is getting worse.

-Less food on the plate.
-Thinner / smaller pieces of meat.
-Less potato chunks.
-Barely any jack daniels in the jack daniels pudding now.
-1 hr + waits, just for a table for 2...
-Costs are the same for degrading performance.

It remains to be seen if we will go again.

Hainanese chicken rice - Yummy, we had some in Singapore for $2 that feed two of us.

I'd like to know where in Auckland you can find it.

Try Wok On In at Kendall Ave, or Yummy Restaurant at Church Corner - which both I think they do Hainanese Chicken Rice.
