Bread that no longer is big enough to seal around the edges in a toasted sandwich maker!

And I'm talking about the premium bread not the $1 loaves!

I was annoyed at my cheap warehouse sammy maker having the diagonal cut thru it and sealing so far in that I got a giant breville one that doesnt cut them. Now no bread gets properly sealed. So I got a sunbeam. Same problem. (May have got them in the other order) - Best solution I have is to put it in one corner of the maker so 2 sides are well sealed and the other 2 barely meet. Thatway you can hold the 2 good sealed sides downwards and no hot filling spills over your hand.

Shoulda got in the groove and asked them if they did requests.

Had they possessed a scintilla of talent, I might have....

Today's grizzle is... poor authoring on Blu-rays (again). My most recent experience is one where they decided to remap the Pause button to go to a "screen saver" instead of just pausing the thing. Even more fun: They hooked up Pause, but didn't bother to hook up Play to resume!

Working on an open plan office. Went to kitchen to get a coffee. Left laptop on (but locked) with work clearly visible on desk. Someone came around to talk to co-worker and grabs my chair.

When you have to brake suddenly in a roundabout, because some moron doesn't understand the road rules, and the steak and cheese pie, that was on the passenger seat beside you, flies out of it's paper bag and lands in the foot-well in a very non-pie shape, rendering it inedible. DEVASTATED!

Mine's a similar grizzle - DVDs that insist on pointless animated intros to the menus.  It feels so clunky and antiquated, like someone was desperate to prove how "cool" this fancy new DVD technology is (which, presumably, was true in the 90s).  Even if I really like the content, themed animated intros add nothing for me, and just make it more difficult to get to the actually movie or TV show.  Just flash up your privacy warning (briefly) then a simple, flat menu of the DVD contents.  That's all anyone needs.

Often happens when going around back into the road you came from. Next one that looks insured may not be so lucky that im on the brakes expecting them to do it

Always take dog when going on pie-buying trips in the car. Removes the added insult to injury of having to clean re-shaped pie from floor mats yourself, plus there's a mental health benefit from how much they'll love you for allowing them to exploit the consequences of your devastating tragedy.

And the keys hanging in the place where you hang keys for unknown and probably long-abandoned locks, but which never contains the spare key for the lock you can't open:

The reporting of Tweets as if they were news.

Associated irritation: Prime Ministers etc issuing comment on matters of national and international significance via Tweet instead of press release.
