Speaking of jugs...
We have a "silent kettle" (which on the definition earlier given would actually be a jug).
It was silent for about three weeks.
We've had a crack at the old descaling, cleaning, etc routine, but it is about as noisy as any jug/kettle we have ever had.
We live in an open plan home, so the noise can actually drown out the TV, if someone is making a cuppa while the rest of us watch TV.
Very annoying.

But I am only in one place dealing with people in the same place so that makes it a non issue.
Same happens with hotdog and corndog and hotdog on a stick but people manage to get the right things.

Yep, look at the waistlines in the street - people are getting the junk food they want !

MikeB4: Interesting, English is boasted as being flexible and evolving except the reality is it’s plagued with inane language snobbery.
Kinda like when talking about soccer while watching my kids play, and some bore goes "You mean football."

On another forum, nine people have posted in a thread about an issue with some software "after an update". Not a single one of them has bothered to list which version they have updated to.
Kmart's website continued.
Not only did it decide that I couldn't order things because they were from the Australian site even tho they were not, paypal didn't work, it wasn't enough for afterpay and when I went on my phone to try paypal there, I had a totally different cart and Wishlist. Once ordering it on the phone it shows on the phone as an order, but on the desktop it shows I have made no orders.
They have managed to outdo Kogan for messing up having a website that works in 2 countries poorly.
