The fact we don't hear anyone doesn't mean a thing, except we don't hear anyone at this very narrow sliver of time.

Yeah, but it's radio, which is pretty fundamental to space flight for us. And also for modern maritime and aircraft and military operations. And for broadcast communications, although that's probably less relevant. And, without an understanding of electromagnetic waves, I doubt you could have good electrical/electronic communications over wires or fibre, let alone computers and the Internet. But yes, maybe there's some mechanism based on dark matter or quantum mechanics which we really haven't figured out, let alone used. And an alien civ has found that it's so good that they consider the whole area a child's toy.

In the hope of seeing something similar, I keep looking out at the sky to planes that pass both near and far and not one has displayed large green lights. They have white and red and the lights appear very small and flashing in comparison to what we saw which were solid. I’m glad two of us saw them and not just one of us and that I recorded the event as precisely as possible in case someone has an explanation that fits the day.

Thinking even if a photo was taken it probably would not have the correct colours. I often take photos of our beautiful sunsets and they are always much less spectacular than the real thing and never as vibrant and colourful.

Aircraft position lights are the same as ships... red for port (left facing forward), green for starboard (right facing forward), white to the rear. They also have anti-collision lights which may be flashing red or white, and landing lights which are very large, very bright white, facing forwards. Airliners often also have lights shining up on their tail fins which will reflect whatever colour their logo is.

So if an aircraft is moving left-to-right in front of you at night, you would see a green light, plus a white light if it's going away from you. You'll also see their flashing anti-collision lights (if they're on) which may be bright enough to mask out the position lights. When doing night formation flying, anti-collision lights are turned off because they dazzle the pilots.

What I think people always overlook is the timing of things. If life arose on the earth between three and four billion years ago, and modern humans came onto the scene about 200,000 years ago, and we developed radio 120 years ago, why should anyone think a separately-evolved life form would follow that identical timeline, even if it followed it in general? Who's to say all those other civilisations out there are not still working their way through our 16th century, or put aside radio as a child's toy 1,000 years ago? The fact we don't hear anyone doesn't mean a thing, except we don't hear anyone at this very narrow sliver of time.

If science is correct we are only aware of 4% of the stuff on the universe. They call the other 96% dark matter and dark energy. Cos they have no idea what it is where it is or why it is. Whether UFOs are in the 4% or 96%....

I am not sure radio waves is necessarily that fundamental for communication. Maybe depends if aliens live in the 4% or the 96% or whatever other dimensions that may or may not exist.

Which is why I find the simulation hypothesis so interesting. However crap it is, I reckon the chances that all these are just magic is higher than the chances that we'll ever find out what's out there.

That's for guys. Women are aware of about 92% of the stuff in the universe.

I was just thinking... That is oxymoron science...

Science says 96% percent of the stuff in the universe is dark energy and dark matter cos they have no idea. That is faith. That's what my neighbour says too. Except he calls it spirits and positive energy. What's the difference?

The difference is the 4% scientists do understand have given us fire, space travel, The Internet, smart phones, and fast food. Your neighbour’s spirits and positive energy have given us LunyLucy on YouTube telling the world she can cure cancer because the angel in her breakfast cereal told her so. Which do you prefer?

A few years ago there was a floating lantern craze of some kind around the suburbs where I lived. People were littering the sky with all kinds of crazy. One or two unfortunate incidents made the news as I recall. Some of it was very obvious flashing colour led (and still it freaked out a few people) some were a lot more subtle, and you would only know if you knew.

Except the technology to detect and map dark matter is coming along quite nicely. So no, not faith but scientific reality. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-57244708

Nope
We still cannot DETECT dark matter
We can only 'infer' its presence & where it is

ie : a best guess (faith) , since we dont know what it is & cant detect it.
Its inferred , because our science didnt match what we measured .

Anyway , these strange lights , tictacs pilots reported
It could be aliens
It could be ghosts
Same evidence for both .

Nope.

There's clear evidence that dark matter exists, just no "proof" as to what it's composed of.

There's no evidence or any proof at all for extra-terrestrial life or god(s) or other ghosts.

Aliens Wouldn't Need Warp Drives to Take Over an Entire Galaxy, Simulation Suggests

It’s also further evidence that extraterrestrials should've settled the entire Milky Way by now. So where are they?

A new computer simulation shows that a technologically advanced civilization, even when using slow ships, can still colonize an entire galaxy in a modest amount of time. The finding presents a possible model for interstellar migration and a sharpened sense of where we might find alien intelligence.
