Any issues with YouShop USA that anyone knows of? According to USPS tracking a parcel was delivered there on 25/09 and I only just got notification of it arriving this morning (01/10).

Anyone know of any YouShop discount codes?

Do you think it's worth having a YouShop discount code thread separate to this one so you don't have to trawl through all the posts to find one?

Thanks!

The discount codes expire.  The amount of posts to this thread are few and seldom.  Therefore, all you need to do is look at the last page or two.

Rather sucky the multi parcel savings option now doesn't apply to their USA or Europe warehouses! :-( :-/

Is making seriously consider switching over to some other reshipper instead. (but too lazy to bother researching options right now.... so for this shipment I'll use YouShop. But, suggestions for next time where to go instead?)

^ That is because they now offer parcel consolidation in its place.
Which if used correctly, can be cheaper than the multiple parcel discount was (last month I combined four parcels and saved $32.75 - the cost of one of my parcels)

Can you explain what you understand to be correct use?  As I understand it, they don't offer repackaging, so at best it offers limited savings.

I've been waiting 9 days since my parcel apparently left the US via YouShop on the 14th; this morning I received emails (both sent at 1.53am), the first saying the parcel had cleared NZ customs (at 3.33pm on the 21st), the second saying it had been delivered to my address the previous day (6.12am on the 22nd).

Luckily the parcel was still on the front veranda, having being sitting there for 24 hours clearly visible from the street.

Couriers are usually smart enough to leave stuff on the back veranda, so leaving it at the front combined with me not receiving email notification of delivery (let alone that it had arrived in NZ, so I'd be looking out for it) is a bit of a fail in my book. I'm going to investigate alternatives to YouShop as this doesn't amount to great service...

Used it for the first time and happy with it. Was in the US a couple of months ago and was hoping to get something my Dad really wanted - some shoes with velcro instead of laces which he can't seem to find here as he has severe Parkinson's and can no longer tie his laces. Couldn't manage to find the right thing when I was there so ordered them online. They arrived at Youshop 2 days after ordering and made it here 5 days after I paid Youshop. I'll surprise him with them when I see him next month.

I order a Roku 4 from Amazom and it got to Youshop (Portland) this morning. I paid for 1 days shipping with Amazon but it took 2 :-(

Anyway after 3 Hours after it was delivered by UPS it showed up on youshop's website. All Good and Size/Price was what was expected.

I paid etc and now it says "Expected date of dispatch 27 October 2015" so its going to sit in Portland for 5 days before it gets sent to NZ which will take another a few days.

So they only send out once a week?

I think you'll find there's a more likely explanation (not that I have any special insight):
23rd: Friday
24th: Saturday
25th: Sunday
26th: Monday (public holiday)
27th: Next working day.

Maybe their date calculation takes into account NZ holidays?

Dispatch meaning leaving youshop I presume  (When they will start to send it to NZ)

Expected date of dispatch 27 October 2015

Its 22 (Thursday) in the States and Monday is not a holiday in the states.

If it said" Expected date of Delivery 27 October 2015" your explanation would make sense.

There is usually a lag of several days from delivery to the YouShop warehouse and the warehouse operators processing the package. On arrival in NZ there is yet another lag as you wait for a postal letter detailing how to deal with Customs clearance. I also found that for any item over $1000, I had to register as an importer....and that can take a few days - just the first time - before you're even able to start the customs clearance. After that, you're in importer.

Honestly.....if whatever you['re buying is available through a local drop-shipper......do that. They handle all the Customs stuff for you. You get the item sometime late the same day.  I also got caughout by the Kiwi dollar falling. An item that was just within the limit for what YouShop will handle ($2499, I think) was judged to be too expensive a week later as the NZ$ dropped several cents against the US$. I had to get YouShop to forward the item to Comgateway.com ......and they just put it in the parcel post. No tracking or anything. I was pretty horrified by the lack of care shown.

I'd use YouShop for small items that I don't care when they eventually arrive. but for anything more expensive than $400 I'd route the package through a more reliable re-shipper who uses a REAL courier like DHL or FedEx. Comgateway.com is good. No shocks. No surprises. the parcel just arrives. But you may still have to be a registered importer, yourself, for items over $1000.

I have only used Youshop UK once, however all of the times I have used Youshop USA they were very quick with their turn around. They have in the past advised when they expect delays and the reason, eg American holidays.

Below is my real world experiences with Youshop UK, after a single Amazon UK purchase shipped as two parcels in September

2015 Youshop UK
1st shipped 23rd arrived 24th at Youshop.
2nd shipped 26th arrived 28th at Youshop.
Youshop advised me parcel one arrived 29th at 0430hrs.
Youshop advised me parcel two arrived 29th at 2145hrs.
Both were paid for on 30th and both sent from Youshop to me at the same time (1 was repacked) both sent on the 1st both arrived on the 6th October.

and

2014 Youshop USA
Left retailer on the 30th July
Arrived Youshop 1st and paid for shipping on the 1st.
Left Youshop USA 2nd Arrived 12th August to me.

I'm thinking of buying a Roku 4 also. What is the YouShop shipping price for this?

$198.49 NZD From Amazon
$31.50 NZD Youshop
Total to NZ $229.99

Its a shame the NZD->USD is high at the moment.
