We need the german law where neighbours can't make noise on Sundays!

Here was me thinking it was Switzerland that had that rule. But sure enough, Germany has Ruhezeit.

I admit to making noise with garden or construction/renovation equipment on a Sunday. But not before 10am or after 6pm. Same for public holidays, with the exception of ANZAC day, where I wouldn’t start before 1pm.

I don’t believe this is any worse than some of the vehicles with shouty exhausts around here (something small that really annoys me!). Welding a cream can on the back of your exhaust pipe in an effort to make your Japanese import supermarket shopping car sound racy, doesn’t actually make it racy. They must be horrible to travel any distance in, but I guess you just crank the sub up and block it out.😕

Handling a sharp knife whilst not feeling 100% isn't a good idea. Ask me how I know.

Remember that well. (When half my body didn't work! Plus major blood thinners!)

I don't need to ask the reason, or result obviously!

Weekend is the only day that I can get anything done so if they were to ban Sundays (best day for it IMO) then I would just have to get started earlier on Saturday and take some time on the weeknights to get it done. We have had in the past a serial noise complainer in the neighbourhood so I was well aware then how long to leave it between noise making activities, but they moved away. Possibly to Browns Bay to be with the rest of their type.

Getting a "buy more stuff from us" marketing message from a vendor, when your previous (and first!) order still hasn't shipped, 27 days after ordering.

Mine would be getting suggestions to buy cheaper versions of what you just bought because obviously you need more than one of them.

At a freezing works I did electrical work in, the first few weeks of the season anyone with a knife had to wear metal mesh gloves until they got their "rhythm" back.

I have reasonable knife skills and very very rarely cut myself, but I should have known when I woke up this morning feeling like I am, that I should have stayed away from risky activities. Thankfully, it was more annoying than serious.

Pretty poor effort if a Band-aid was enough to fix it :-).

Fortunately you don't really need four fingers. Unless you are a piano player!

You DO need thumbs, as my grandfather said "Without thumbs there is nothing to hold the bottom of your sandwich up"

I usually carry at least 6 Band Aids in my wallet. When asked why tell the story of the pruning saw and my leg. The cut took all the plasters I had to butterfly it closed until I could get it stitched.

The thing more dangerous than a sharp knife is a blunt knife, so a small thing that annoys me? A blunt knife.

Oh, and a non stick pan that sticks.
