Can they not go? I heard some are already with families as cleared from fungus inhalation. So, they need building up, or more than that?

A couple have pnuemonia from what I understand. No chance of them being allowed to fly with a lung infection I don't think. Maybe Elon Musk will offer to fly them privately on his plane, or perhaps he has a Telsa X boat that will get them there in time :)

Just checked CNN, I'm sure I read yesterday that the first 4 were united with their parents, but reading CNN, seems still in isolation. United via windows by the looks

Latest news includes

"

Regarding both groups (the first two), medical officials said Tuesday that the boys are healthy, fever-free, mentally fit and "seem to be in high spirits."

The boys are all likely to stay in the hospital for seven days due to their weakened immune systems."

No food, no light, poor health, lost weight. All those are stresses on the whole body, of which immune system is one component. Worry as well possibly

EDIT

The cave disease is inhaling fungi from bird and bat droppings, if the immunity was compromised, thats a potential problem. Plus bats and maybe birds too, can harbour viruses.

Even if that's not true, it's not unreasonable for them to be taken extra special care of. If they miss something and a kid goes home and dies, it's going to look pretty bad.

I don't know what the cost of this rescue is gong to be, but it's going to be millions presumably.

I do wonder how these things get paid for when a country needs resources for aid from another country. For example would some department in Australia send the Thailand Government a bill for services and resources rendered or is it just worn by the country who sent the resources?

Some really super nasty diseases in Bat Beuno. They use some of that in horrible poisons to kill people. Slow agonising deaths.

Yet another reason not to go in a cave in my opinion.

Makes sense. One had a low heartbeat but he came right. Maybe to reduce panic attack? But not enough to make it too hard, as there was a fair walk as well

Where I grew up there are lots of caves like these. Every year, people go in and die. We learnt never ever to go deep into caves that are at risk of flooding.

Heck we even knew a very rich family who went scuba diving with their daughter and the daughter got swept away by sea current; apparently it happened in the blink of an eye - one moment she was there, the next moment she was gone. Body recovered after 2 years of paid searching.

what you all think about Elon Musk for being upset when his submarine is not being used?

I think it confirms what I already thought of himself. He is a very smart guy with some very odd personality issues, and a big Ego. I think that a lot of these genuine types get caught up in small details.

I'd imagine he has bigger issues to worry about right now, than sulking over some misunderstanding about a tool he offered to help with the rescue.

I can't imagine his shareholders will be impressed and I suggest he is unlikely to remain CEO much longer.

I think his offer to help was genuine and kind, but time for him to move on.
