and yes its really about time government got off its ass and told banks what to do instead of oh yes, sorry, mustn't interfere with anything that might reduce the bosses bonus...

Helicopters flying over our area for hours and hours last night. It's hard to work efficiently with <5 hours sleep!

Secondly, when your watch thinks you went to sleep hours earlier than you did and sends you warm fuzzies about your good sleeping habits.

Kiwis tend to get into death spirals when bidding on auctions.

A friend of mine got into a bidding war on a piece of HUGE furniture, only to realize it was too big for his home, and even too big for the Salvation Army. He wound up cutting it up for firewood.

I've been looking for a Sony Playstation 2 (discontinued 10 years ago, current is 3 generation ahead)

I passed on one that was $81 on Trademe, which had 6 games and 4 controllers.

One sitting at a ejunk shop was on offer. It was considerably worse with no games, no controllers.

I joined in a bidding war, at stuck in longer than I should at $40.

The auction went into a fierce death spiral, and wound up selling for $95. Again, no games no controllers.

I'd like to say this was unusual, but I'll often see people purchasing crappier stuff for more money by bidding, than just taking the "buy now" option.

I remember years ago I listed a computer on Trade Me for $2000 buy now. It didn't sell, so I relisted it for $1800 and it still didn't sell. I bit the bullet and relisted it with no reserve... and it went for $2250.

For some reason the Tesla nav wanted me to go charge at Ruakura instead of Taupo like normal trips down south. Arrive and there is a construction crew doing the carpark it's in and nothing nearby to eat at so I'm sitting in the car charging up to 85% slowly listening to ICE powered construction equipment.

Did they replace the Hokey Pokey with their workers limbs?

Talleys are scum. Don’t buy from Talleys.

They are probably in the Boysenberry Ripple!

I was asked "What happened to Talley's Ice Cream? You don't see it any more!

I went to their website and their Ice Cream tab redirects you to Deep South!

Deep South etc removed from the Companies Office.

I already had the Ice Cream before finding out who now "owns" it.

I feel the same way as you to Talley's.

No it's OK, not the police, just unmarked helicopters painted black with sprayer attachments circling over his house. Nothing to see here.

Signs ins that require multiple 2FA auths per day.

Also, 2FA notifications were disabled due to auth spam attacks. Wish I could opt in for this so I could auth with my watch without having to pick up my phone.

Also, that and other apps that have a notification like above where only a yes/no response is required but you only get a notification on your watch as they haven’t created a watch app for it yet that you can simply tap your wrist to approve.

Apple does this right - sign in to iCloud on a “new”* browser, tap watch, enter pin. Done.

*(All browsers are new but some are more new than others IYKYK)

Getting 91 fuel from NPD yesterday. Fuel nozzle handle latch was left slightly on (or sticky / faulty), so it YOU can imagine my surprise when pulling nozzle out of pump (vertical as needed to go to the opp side of car) and straight off fuel going every bloody where!!! All over the back windscreen corner of my car. Had to quickly find a water source to wash that off. Lucky not on me.

2nd annoyance. It is no wonder motor bikes feature highly in crashes. On way home, SH1 near Karitane, I come around a blind corner and two bikes were weaving in and out of large group of cars. I had to very quickly veer left. They had no right what so ever to be passing at that point. Madness. No gaps and it looked like they were pushing their way in.

Heh, they know where to find me, I am not hiding. It shouldn't take them a helicopter or 3 hours to find me :)

Went paddleboarding for the first time yesterday on my new iSUP.

Didn't realise until after I had been on and off the board several times and got back into the beach that I had been wearing my very expensive glasses.

Needless to say, after a bit of frantic searching, I realised where they were and resigned myself to wearing my spares while I get the insurance claim underway.

Photographic evidence from my wife confirmed that i was wearing the glasses when I first jumped aboard the watercraft.
