I have just seen the advert for the New Zealand drama ‘The Brokenwood Mysteries’

The 30 seconds I saw was enough. Why are NZ dramas always so amateurish?

(Maybe because I’ve just finished watching the excellent Mare of Easttown).

What do you reckon the budget is for The Brokenwood Mysteries?

Compared to the Mare of Easttown it is amateur.

Offspring is on Netflix now.

Totally enjoying the dysfunctional Proudman family just as much second time around.

I shall probably cry buckets at TV's saddest moment again too.

Another vote for Bosch S7. Only just finished E2 but it’s really great to have it back.

"This is Pop" on Netflix.

Even as someone who's never liked "pop music" since I was a kid, this has been absolutely fascinating.

I had low expectations but started watching the first episode and wow, I've loved this series so far.

it is strange most kiwi's cringe at watching NZ dramas but you see the IMDB reviews and people from everywhere else love them

I think it's a bit like hearing a recording of yourself singing.
It's so weird.

Love Brokenwood and we've seen every episode except last nights which we'll catch during the week.

This show is huge in Europe, particularly France.

Yep. When we were watching it last night, I said to Mrs Code (for the umpteenth time) ‘there’s that fantastic house’. I suspect the house itself isn’t anything amazing - more like the location and view - you’d never get sick of it, especially at night.

We would like to watch it also, but having missed the first couple of seasons when they were first on TV, it would seem we have no easy way to watch the program.

Can't you just use TVNZ On Demand? Watch The Brokenwood Mysteries | New Season | TVNZ OnDemand

[Edit: sorry, you mean from Season 1].

Yes, unfortunately there only seems to be the latest season available via TVNZ OnDemand.
