Is this the thread where I post my low user ID like it's worth something.

Re: $3398 / 10MB
On the plus side, it does include drivers for CP/M.

So 574483 would be worthwhile only as a marker from around 2005 (correction: June 2004).....11 years ago. I wonder what the number would be today for a new sign-up?

I've been on Geekzone over 16 years..... Time flies....
Interesting looking at some of the member numbers and dates here. Between December 1999 and July 2000 numbers increased by an average of around 1500/month.
Over the next two months, to September 2000, this increased slightly to just over 1800/month, but in the next three months, to December 2000, numbers increased by over 2800/month, so quite a considerable jump in a short time.
I joined in July 2002 and my number is 1119xx, so between December 2000 and July 2002 the average increase was almost 4400/month.
Mine: Nov 2002 / 152xxx
So 10k/month from July 2002 -> Nov 2002
No idea when I joined, must have been a lot later than that though, member number nearer 350,000.
Haven't used it for quite some time (took a while to remember my password for it).
Mine is 4640xx from march 2004 if anyone is still interested in tracking...
10033, March 2000
I even remember getting some credit when I joined
Looking at the OP - was that the Trade me home page, or was that already drilled down into an IT section? I', just interested to see how many of the "closing soon" auctions are for IT products.
I wonder if they ever sold that Space Crusade game?

Wow, old school. I still think of 10 years ago being the 90's though. Always feel a bit old when I realize it would be 2006 currently
Try Vultr using this link and get us both some credit:

Wow - so the only things that aren't IT-related are Space Crusade (unless this is actually the '90s video game?) and Tony O'Connor's Australian relaxation CD, Bushland Dreaming.
xpd: Sold mine a few years back for around $70 IIRC..... I only paid $30 for it new :) Turned out to be a rather sought after game....
An investment!
