Who cares how it looks - as long as it works.

 

Does it do what it "Says on the box"?

 

If something is ugly, even a book will hide it. (No - a book won't hide an ugly car etc, unless you tape the pages over it)

And there was me thinking you need a drill for holes, and use a router if you want to cut a groove or a bevel.

Entertainingly I tested one of these devices about a year ago not as a potential option for our customers before we decided it was too ugly.
