Product idea: Add sunscreen to deodorant (we all know teenagers love the slather that stuff on)
My wife does this. Pop the ball out of an empty roll on deodorant and add sunscreen. Great for little ones and sending to school, when they aren't great at putting the lid back on.
Nyah nyah nyah I can't hear you!

I'm a bit older - some of our friends are grandparents.
Please shoot me if I ever become a grandparent and do what some of them do - whine about parenting ability (or more precisely - perceived lack of) by sons/daughters in law.
It's a rite of passage. My MIL is especially good at it. I remind her that both my kids are happy and healthy and despite all the "terrible" parenting decisions we make my son won the top award at his school for the 4th time in 5 years. :)
It literally goes in one ear and out the other.

There are all sorts of areas being discussed as being sunned now I never thought I'd hear about. Armpits aren't even close to the worst trends going LOL.

When I am having a "bad" parenting day, I remind myself that my number one priority is to ensure my kids never go a single second of their lives with any doubt about whether I love them or not.
My mother did it for me, and I am busting my ass to ensure I do it for my kids.
jonathan18:Having to listen to childless adults pontificate on what you and other parents are doing wrong, and how child-rearing should be done, while simply having no idea of the realities and difficulties of parenting.
Similarly, reading/hearing the rants of misopedists.
STFU, I reckon...

Thats very clever. The trick is getting them to actually use it - ideally, voluntarily, without being told, warned, threatened, tied down...

Being asked why I have any or so/too many kids:
... because I obviously don't know how to stop having them! No response necessary.
... when they cost so much! But kids are an investment for the future that will more than return the money spent on them: more meaningful relationships; a greater contribution to society e.g. increasing the proportion of well-socialised, caring and constructive adults; better support e.g. aged-care; more grandchildren, I hope; etc.
... when insert overpopulation, environmental or ecological reason for not having kids. The reason is most often an easily rebutted fallacy like there's not enough food to feed everyone.
Some people who think when my wife has night out; I’m not being a dad, or parenting, I’m just babysitting.
Being in a shopping mall when I had two kids under 5 and I’d be changing my daughter in the parent’s room and being told I wasn’t allowed in there as it was for mother’s only.
I guess it’s other parents, or adults who should know better than voice their opinion that annoy me more than my kids. After all, the kids are learning every day how to be humans and some of the tension is through poor communication (they don’t have the skills to get the message across, and as parents we don’t have the skills to understand them).

I hate the fact that sometimes I am too tired to be the great parent I want to be, or that I say something I shouldn't because it's the end of a massive week and my patience is thread bare and someone is doing something not as bad as the response you give them, but still not great.
This for me, she's only 2.5 years old so she might not remember it all but the sense of guilt I feel gets to me sometimes

I can understand that. I always make a point of getting eye contact with my kids afterwards and apologising for my behaviour and saying (and meaning) I'll try and do better. I think it's important for kids to understand that parents are humans, we can be angry, sad, tired, irrational or unreasonable just like them, but the key to making a mistake is apologising and trying to do better. I think my kids have learnt as much from my good parenting as well as my bad. I have to remind myself, that being the perfect parent isn't possible. We are exceptionally fortunate we have 2 parents to do the work, and we are getting better at spotting when the other isn't coping and gently trying to transition to give the other a break.
Fundraising and having to attend school drama productions.
(The latter would be fine if your child had a significant role but without an artistic bone in our family's bodies mine usually got to be a tree or a rock.)
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
