Trivago TV ads. Must they have one every single ad break?

Shopping in Southland.

Thought I might pick up an Apple Smart Cover today for my iPad Pro 12.9. Two Noel Leeming stores and a decent sized Harvey Norman had nothing. Harvey Norman didn’t have any genuine Apple smart covers at all for any iPad. What annoys me is the local retailers are always bemoaning online shopping etc destroying local shops yet leave shoppers with little choice, both literally and figuratively.

On a positive note you can still buy a decent house down here for less than what you would need for a deposit in Auckland.

Clint (our cat) has discovered a whole new world now that he's jumping up on the kitchen bench. After the bench, he discovered a new perch up on top of the fridge, the cheeky little rascal.

Setting up a couple of old iPhones for the kids to use as iPods around the house. Cue the following niggles:

- insistence on inserting a SIM card to set up the phone

- only being able to delete / turn off *some* of the crud Apple installs by default. Honestly, has anyone ever used the "stocks" app?

- not being able to "show passwords", getting it wrong 4 times, doubting myself, going and double checking, confirming it was right all along, but still needing two more attempts before I managed to get it right.

And now I'm going crazy having to wait a whole week between new episodes of Rick + Morty. What kind of barbaric age do we live in!?

Is it just me, or is this precocious young lad really annoying?  I am old enough to have a Gold Card, so being annoyed does come easily nowadays.

People on planes who get up and start queueing to get off before being told to do so.

The guy on a Vietnam Airlines flight I was on the other day whose phone rang as we taxied into position and who answered the call, chatting as we took off. The wheels were of the ground when he ended the call. Cabin crew took no notice at all!

And did your plane crash into a fiery wreck as a result of signal interference?

I can honestly say I use "find my iphone" a number of times.

Podcasts, music, apple maps, calendar, notes, are a few other default apps I use.    Calendar is particularly good, we use it to plan all family stuff so we can see each others schedules.

Although, apple did ruin the music app somewhat.

I do that when the plane is nearly clear because I am slow to get off

Me too. I find it difficult to retrieve items from the overhead lockers without obstructing the aisle and I get stressed if I have to rush, so I always thought I was being courteous by booking a window seat and staying seated until most passengers have disembarked.

Yes but sometimes people that looked perfectly able to come into the plane by themselves seat at the aisle and won't get up until the plan is empty. Seen this before.

I personally always book aisle seats because I like to be able to get up during flight if needed be without disturbing others, and I rather not get blocked by people like these.

I understand your frustration however there are many invisible disabilities. Before mine was visible you would maybe think the same of me, I could walk onto a plane (painfully) but the inactivity on the flight would stiffen my limbs and make getting out of the chair very difficult and time me quite some time to leave the plane. If I were to use the window seat it would be very difficult and very painful for me to get into and  out of the seat.

To be fair, they are pretty pricey, and many people will buy third party ones. There retailer doesn't want to risk not being able to sell it. However that is similar to my local NL, where if you want to buy anything, they usually have to order it in these days, as floor stock is limited.
