I also watched Humans.

My wife lost interest as it was a bit slow...I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it did feel a little formulaic - but it is TV.

I am looking forward to the story unfolding.

We enjoyed True Detective S1 a lot and just finish Broadchurch S1 and 2. Based on feedback so far we will pass on True Detective S2. Broadchurch was great. Very emotional and I liked the music and cinematography etc. Thinking of watching Silicon Valley S1 next.

True Detective S2 got a lot better towards the end, the last 2 or 3 episodes were a lot better than the first 6

So sad today.  Watched the last episode of Strike Back Legacy / Series 5 etc last night.

There's still much more to be had in that series so feeling pretty gutted it's over.
Obviously it's a laugh most of the time but it's still much more grittier than the likes of NCIS LA or other equivalent buddy military type shows.

jonathan18: Banshee's great watching, I reckon - we finished season three earlier in the year. The lead's Kiwi Anthony Star (Jethro/Van from Outrageous Fortune). It's complete pulp noir-sh entertainment, so don't expect Big Ideas to be discussed! The worst thing is the level of violence has really been ratcheted up over the seasons, to the point they took it too far last season. Every episode seems to have a minimum of one turn-away moment - the grossest being watching someone having their windpipe ripped out.

We just saw this scene last night... We were surprised that character disappeared from the series now when it looked like a good point to come back into it.

Watched Fear The Walking Dead last night and it's pretty good....I've seen a lot of people saying it's quite slow but we didn't think so you just have to remember this is about the very start of the outbreak and how things go from there.  This has already cemented itself as a show I'd happily watch regularly for at least a season or more.

I can't recommend Sons of Anarchy strongly enough.

Characters are complex, storylines and plot twists are fantastic. It can be a bit strong on the sex and violence, so it won't be everyone's cup of tea. But it's a really strong drama that I'm a big fan of.

"Sons of Anarchy is an American crime drama television series created by Kurt Sutter, about the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California's Central Valley. The show centers on protagonist Jackson "Jax" Teller (Charlie Hunnam), initially the vice president of the club, who begins questioning the club and himself."

Geektastic: Just watched some of League of Gentlemen again on DVD.

Cracks me up every time. Possibly a bit heavy on the British cultural references for universal appeal here but it kills me. Welcome to Royston Vasey - you'll never leave!

Haha! League of Gentlemen is fantastic. Very dark comedy, but so funny. Strong pre-cursor to Little Britain. It's funny watching their live comedy shows and seeing just how keen the audience are.

We've been working our way through Wayward Pines (on Hulu), and are really digging it so far. Currrently up to ep 7 (of 10), and I'm hoping we're not let down by its eventual conclusion.

When you get there, share what you think of the ending.

Mr Robot - currently the best thing on tv, season 1 near the end.

+1 totally agree - I'm surprised it's not getting more mention/discussion on this site!
