Yes - the brother of a good friend of mine, 1 million about 10 years ago.

If that's a representative example, then the rumours that winning a lot of money won't make you happy could very well be true.

What about that American lady who won a billion then had her picture plastered all over the place. She can't even begin to imagine the amount of pain she is in for. If she has any imagination and intelligence at all, she will buy a new identity and an overseas island and move there as quickly as possible. Maybe Richard Branson will have her as a neighbour.

I think it depends on the person. I think it is similar to any large windfall someone may get. Sometimes getting a big payout from something may potentially do more harm than good for the person. Many people need to work, so if you get a big amount of money, that would change your mindset and perspective. So some people give up work as a result, which can be a major problem for their life structure. A neighbour won 1st division in the 90's, and lets just say it didn't end well.

Not so much small but the gazillion political signs put up for the election. They should be restricted to say 10 per electorate. Just before Kennedygood bridge in Hutt City there are about 20 of the eyesores. No one else would be allowed to advertise like that.

I have often wondered about these signs. They don't provide any information about the candidate or the candidate's views, often not even a slogan. They just mindlessly parrot 'vote for me' or 'tick box whatever'. Their purpose mainly just seems to be to burn the grimacing mug of the politician into people's brains. Are NZ voters really that stupid? I would never vote for anyone on the basis of these ridiculous posters.

What’s the legality on removing these?

So far I’ve pulled 2 off my PRIVATE fence (just had to have it replaced after a car went through) and I have a ZERO tolerance for idiots who think they can use my fence to hold up their advertising without even asking... just because I’m in a ‘prime’ location 😡

Shouldn't they be paying you for that? I was asked by a party if I could stick on on my fence, but I said no. NOt sure if they were paying or not, but the risk of it being vandalised was high, and that would also damage my fence.

If that happened to me - I'd surround their sign with my own ones with big arrows pointing to their sign - saying "don't vote for this inconsiderate $%^%$$" - then wait and see what happens.

Supermarket pricing errors. Almost every week there is at least one mistake with the pricing, (eg something on sale but it doesn't scan through at the sale price), and it is never to my benefit.

How plastic stuff doesn't dry properly in the dishwasher.

For anyone curious, it's the Mac version of Visual Studio, where the Close button doesn't close!

So, what did they do? Emailed me a copy of their terms and conditions.

Haha i've probably been on the other end of such requests. 

To give it some perspective from the other side though -- all software has bugs and are prioritised accordingly.   Often the list is so long that you never get to the low priority bugs.   It is simple resourcing and too busy to fix.

I don't have a major issue with support staff. If you pay peanuts ... . The other thing is, if they were the smartest people on the planet they wouldn't be where they are. Having said that, I've had some support staff that were amazingly helpful. I report their good performance if I can.

People saying 'could of', or 'should of' instead of 'could have' and 'should have'.

Goes with 'like' and people who answer a question with 'Look, ....'.
