Hell yeah. Some are far more comfortable than others. Some stay up, others fall down. Some have holes (and I should chuck those out but I always think I 'll get one more wear out of them), others don't.

Wow. A view into an entirely different lifestyle. Do your favourites get, like special one-on-one time with you? Does your wife have the same, uh, preferences? I guess what I'm asking is...

Are you a same-socks couple?

I have a pair of sentimental socks.

When I visited the UK in 2013, my father was in ICU and very ill. I ran out of socks, so just borrowed some from his drawer (nice Pringle ones). Somehow they ended up mixed into my laundry and when I got back to NZ they were there too. He died 3 weeks after my return and to this day they remain the only socks my wife will condescend to darn for me if they get holes! Any others with holes go in the bin.

TBH ghastly is the word I'd use to describe every track she's ever released....!

Finding a thread locked / well known poster banned and wondering how it happened and whether I might (accidentally?) suffer the same fate someday...

Sometimes the choice seems clear, other times it seems incomprehensible what line the person overstepped to become banned, or which post could have led to the thread lock...

I guess just ‘not knowing’ in general is an irritation as I grow older \_o_/

There is never an "accidental" ban. If someone is banned is because something worth of it happened.

This is not a public court. We have the rules and reserve the right to apply them.

3v normally, and there are images online of what they will do to a frankferter equating that to a kids gut.

In anycase, I am fine with a screw there that I can put in if I choose to, but to have the cover not attach without it is bloody annoying. They are usually some craptastic headed self tapping type that chews the plastic out on the 3rd go so the thing never attaches again and just drops off and has batteries falling out over the floor making the chances of a stupid kid eating them even higher than if it was a proper clip on battery cover that stayed in place.

No stupid kids here, dont see why I should have to suffer stupid kid proof things that make it less convienent and cannot be bypassed. At least with kid resistant caps on bleech etc its a couple of snips with sidecutters to remove the offending part off them.

The media labelling things as "banned" when they're not banned. In this case, Countdown has chosen not to supply plastic bags in the future so the media is calling it a "bag ban".
