He's the one standing between Cruelty to Animals and Things Not Working Properly Even After You've Given them A Really Good Thumping (formerly No Alcohol Lager).
Looking at the scenes from the Bay and the East Coast, there is just simply no way Auckland would have coped if the initial track of directly through or bouncing off the city had played out.
It just would have been chaos.
Probably better that didn't happen, but I'm gutted for Napier and the Bay that it's happened to them.
