Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie on Apple TV.

I grew up watching Michael J Fox so was looking forward to seeing this and it was very good. An insightful and emotional look into his personal life.

I do not recall seeing much of Spin City, a bit too busy getting married and having kids during that period of time so will look at watching it if possible, seems to be limited streaming options.

the first couple of seasons of Spin city were hilarious, then he was diagnosed with parkinsons and if you watch him in the later seasons he is never without a prop in his hands , a file , newspaper, pens just something to disguise the worsening shakes.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

'Admittedly I was only watching it in glimpses while I did other things' doesn't seem the best way to judge a movie esp if it's not a preferred genre :)

It actually has a rich tapestry of lore associated with it, detailed plot lines that do require some knowledge of the prior movies, and stellar acting by a cast of seasoned bankable action superstars. (and no, I have no idea which predator movie you are referring to).

How do you know my preferred genre? In any case, I wasn't reviewing the film, just stating what I thought of it (as per the thread title).

The predator movie I am 'referring to' is the one I specified in my post, The Predator. That is what it is called. If you have no idea what I am referring to, how can you be commenting on the 'rich tapestry of lore' associated with it?

The movie was a chaotic, jumbled mess. I did not comment on the quality of the acting, but the lack of quality of the writing and direction and editing. If you have to be an insider to follow it, it has failed as a movie.

I see the intended humorous tone of my reply didn't translate for you despite the smiley faces.

I don't have a sense of humour. Smiley faces are just urine blots.

And yet, an hour or so later you seem to imply you attempted to use humour/irony: "You missed my dash of irony."

You see, everyone, now and then, miss the mark on a joke, sarcasm or irony comment. In some cases they are clearly marked so the person missing it is the receiving part.

But no big deal. This is The Internet.

John Wick Chapter 4.

I'm a JW fan. I also like Keanu Reeves and the supporting cast.
I struggled with this one. It's too long, seems to be just too much like the others and frankly, I got bored.

I wasn't really 'bored' but I didn't feel it was a patch on the others. I mean, no new plot, it's just 'better' more action.

After reading the above comments on JOHN WICK: Chapter 4, I was a little worried that my favourite action franchise had lost its appeal. No such problem for me. The film delivered everything I expect from a JOHN WICK film...and then some. The addition of Donnie Yen to the cast was a real coup for the film's production team and I thought that his was a great new character for the franchise. I'm an action movie junkie, so I probably got more from the film than some others. A re-watch is definitely on the cards, when I can get nearly three hours of spare time 😀 9/10

Keep watching or fast forward to the very end of the credits 😉

I have yet to watch John Wick 4 (I bought a digital copy on Amazon). I bought all previous movies and rewatched them multiple times. I even watched all three last month in preparation for this instalment.

Similarly bought all of Daniel Craig's James Bond movies and watched them multiple times. Not all movies get this treatment.

Quoting one of my posts from January 2010, I watched Ronin again last month. Back in 2010, I had it on DVD, but now I have a digital copy on Amazon. I watched it multiple times since I first saw it when released in 98. Great movie.

Other than the few Frames of GPS Vehicle tracking and the use of an Analog camera when they are scoping out the "Mark" and his goons in the Hotel Foyer its pretty timeless,   De Niro and Reno have great Chemistry,

I re-watched Heat the other night and that also has aged really well...

Play Misty For Me - DVD - 4/10

This one hasn't aged well. Wooden acting, wooden script and wooden directing. To sum up - wooden.

Best kept as a memory.

Bound - DVD - 8/10

The Wachowski (then brothers) directorial debut is a crime thriller starring Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano. An abused girl friend (Tilly) and her lover (Gershon) plot to steal $2m from the mob.

Pantoliano puts in an excellent performance as the abuser. A little gem.

I have all the Craig Bond movies, all the Jason Bournes, all the Pirates and all the Alien movies.

I've lost count of how many times I've watched them.

I remember seeing this when it was newly released.

It has a Film Noir feel about it at the same time as being a bit "basic instinct".
