@Jase2985:

And while I appreciate them doing this, most also sign you up to their mailing list at the same time without telling you of the fact. Which itself is illegal. But it also removes any trust I have of the company to keep my information private.

All i want is the email with the receipt, nothing more.

I never had this problem. I only ever received the invoice. Never received any unsolicited email from them.

Did you actually have this happen to you?

Yes on 2 occasions, so I'm reluctant to do it. Both companies dismissed it as not a big deal.

So, Noel Leemings or other companies?

Other large multi national companies

So don't muddle the discussion. The invoice email service offered by Noel Leemings was explicitly mentioned in this [SMILE] thread and you rubbished it, when in fact your complaint doesn't even relate to Noel Leeming.

This is disingenuous.

If you have nothing to add to the specific comment, don't.

There is no muddling, I never mentioned NL, I mentioned my experience in the same situation with other companies, which I have not mentioned the names of.

I quoted the previous posters post but applied it to my experience.

Im sorry if it seemed that way, but it was never my intent, just sharing my experiences with giving my email over for receipts.

What made me smile this weekend? Sitting in the shade with a few good friends, celebrating life.

It was a hot sunny day, we were next to the pool, kids were splashing about, adults were enjoying good conversation and happy juice and the bbq was cranked.

It felt like Christmas.

I really like food jars (that I want to keep and re-use) that have an easily-removable plastic adhesive label - that peels off in one piece and leaves no adhesive residue on the jar. Rather than a paper label that's hard to get off, comes off in pieces and one layer of it remains on the jar - and even if you soak it off, you have to use De-Solv-it to get rid of the adhesive..

Found this with a large jar of Fix & Fogg peanut butter. Brilliant.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Pics also has easy peel labels.  They even put instructions on the label to fill with boiling water for a minute and the label will peel off.

Useful source of jam jars that I use when my various fruit trees produce edible things.

Not sure if this is an annoy or smile but a (non-ginger) cat that seems totally immune to the well-known effects of water on cats and will come into the house soaking wet after playing in the rain, but then patiently stands there while I rub him down with a towel to at least reduce that to somewhat damp.

That's a weather cat.  Just letting you know that it's raining.

I'm down to 2 days left. Hanging on by a thread, I've been on fumes for weeks :)

Just trying to give my 100% so I can leave the year behind without worrying about stuff.

Initially read that as "trying to give my 10%" .

That's about what most people have left at the end of the year 🙃

There are cats who think they are dogs and vice versa.😁
