Maybe you just subconsciously knew it wasn't clear or safe to swerve around the water?

It wasn't safe to swerve around it, there were cars on the other side. I like driving through puddles and making a big splash (though I wasn't trying to make a big splash this time) but I would *never* intentionally soak someone by doing it. I am still feeling stink and if I could find them to apologise in person and offer to pay for dry cleaning, I would gladly do it. Unfortunately there was nowhere safe to stop nearby. I imagine right now they are dressing up a voodoo doll to look like me and sticking pins in it, fairly too.

:(

Donate the $20 the dry cleaning might have cost to charity in lieu? You might feel better and create good joss.

Just read an article on Stuff about a bus crash in Wellington (here ):

People walking along the sidewalk at the time of the crash said they heard a screech "like an explosion" before the bus came to a sudden stop and opened its doors.

Shops that don't have their opening times displayed in the window, but instead have a sign directing you to view the times on their webpage ...

Shops that have it on their website but dont bother to maintain their google presense particually over holiday weekends.

Shops that only have it on their window and dont have a website or google.

Also, shops that for some reason display their phone number in big letters on the side. If I am standing there I will just go in, and if I am not there I will surely not be able to see it.

The MetService website currently saying today's hi is 14 and it is shown on the same page that the current temperature is 16.5 degrees!

And on Sunday their forecast for the week was rain....and we have had 3 glorious days in Christchurch!

Wait times at a chemist. Two visits recently, 1 of 2 customers in the shop. 3-4 staff doing something behind the counter, took about 10 minutes for the prescription. How many times do they have to count my tramadol?

Talking Trucks (as seen in Japanese CBDs) have come to NZ.

Still speaking in Japanese, so I'm guessing they are imports and  no-one has figured out how to turn the PA off, yet.

Painstakingly spending 3 months to convince 17 other residents to get UFB fibre down a shared access driveway, only to be told that due to the low number of people signing up for actual connections and the high cost that my order is on hold till either more people sign up or build crews get through the more cost effective driveways first................arggghhhhhhh Damn you ENABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 2018 and the MetService site still dumps you to the home page (instead of the page you're trying to look at) when you tap "full site" on a phone.
