Petrol companies' price signs.   For example the price for Unleaded 91 is shown as 240.9 instead of placing the decimal point where it should be 2.409 All the petrol companies do this & it's ridiculous.  They only do this so as to create a false impression of competition when they change the 3rd decimal place.

Does this annoy you?

Its sold in cents per liter. Probably made sense when it was 60c/l or something crazy cheap back when it was all sorted out. Its obvious what it means and the problem I have with the signs is they only list the cheap stuff and the tractor fuel on the signs, not the good stuff and in many cases not what sort of good stuff they sell at the station.

Not as much as the price itself. Particularly when I saw 91 retailing for 205.9 in Rotorua at the weekend yell

Most cars these days need low sulfur fuel - they sell the stuff that fails the test in RotoVegas, cheap.

(Too) Slow progress with E-Cars, especially here in the country of the premium manufacturers. They still didn't catch it (or they do, but ride the cash-cows until they'll break).

its actually the same fuel that Z energy stations use . PakNSave has a contract with them and the Rotorua  Pak n Save is always 10 cents a litre under what the Z station is a 100 metres away. And i paid $1.99 today so still cheap.

The YouTube Music app changing the volume level on my phone by itself. Makes driving and trying to listen to music at the same time a right royal pain. As I can't just click play on a long playlist, Adjust volume to what I want, then just drive without needing to touch the phone. Instead I have to keep on pressing the volume up key.

And just turning up the head unit volume doesn't help. As if a phone call or text arrives, the message alert tone then plays at a stupidly loud volume over the stereo.

The volume control that pops up on iOS (still, after all these years of complaints), when you adjust the volume.

Some apps override it and you don't see it, but there aren't many that do this, so you often miss a few seconds of whatever is on the screen...and in a game that's annoying and can result in "loss of life"...

Because of Phil Goff's Auckland regional fuel tax. And remember it's going up by another 3 cents in the weekend.

I think you got that backwards - it's "$1.999"* in Auckland DESPITE the "regional tax"; vs $2.409 here in Welly.

*Gaspy tell's me "2.11" in East Tamaki Road is the cheapest in "Auckland" - still a far cry from $2.40, which I can see from my window at work...

From my office window I can ALMOST see the service station charging the same amount, however less than 1500m away is a place doing it for 25c cheaper.

I am in Auckland.

I'd better not tell you that I paid $1.88 in Whakatane a few days ago (admittedly with a Smartfuel card, but does anyone ever pay headline rates these days?)
