Dumb design. Where do I start? We have an expensive Bosch gas stovetop. Cleaning food spills and, especially, grease out of all the bits and bobs of that unnecessarily intricate thing is like extracting teeth. Even removing encrusted remains from the stainless steel without scratching it is hopeless. Whoever created it obviously didn’t have to clean the damned thing. It looks nice and shiny in the shop. I guess that’s all they care about. So much for German design.

And why do New Zealand kitchen and bathroom sinks, basins, bathtubs, etc. all come without a safety overflow, as is common in other countries like the USA? Let’s just let it all spill out onto the floor instead. Or have things improved with newer models? Somehow I doubt it.

People who design this kind of thing ought to be made to use it for six months before it is released onto the public. I’m sure that would improve things considerably.

Those very small sinks in the toilets... You can barely put your hands under the tap to wash the soap away.

@Rikkitic to clean our gas hob I remover your the bits off the hob and use a liquid spray cleaner like Ajax. To finist the job I use glass cleaner to bring the shine back. All the bits I put into the dishwasher and they come out very clean, any spills etc I brush before putting into the dishwasher. What I hate is the sharp spark spike I don't know how much flesh has been removed from my hands by those little demons.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

We have one of those but if it were any bigger the chair would'n go in.  We use foaming soap it rinses off easier.

Unnecessary abbreviations.

We use ADP for payroll and I can see the following leave types: Annual Lve, LS Leave, Managed S/L, Pay Alt Hol, Acc Alt Hol, Sck/Domestic, Time in Lieu, LWOP, Paternity Unpaid, Maternity Unpaid, Study Lve, Bereavemnt, Volunteer Leave, Jury Duty, NZ P/H WKD, NZ A/L Cashout.

Some of these are listed as being not applicable and I can't apply for them. I have no idea what some of them are.

Supermarket bread. Breads are usually a sorry thing, with soft, tasteless dough. Some supermarkets make ciabatta, French stick, sourdough and they basically all taste the same - and usually have the same consistence in different shape. Baguettes are a joke - most of times they have a soft outside, to the point they bend if you hold from one end.

Most supermarkets sprinkle flour on top of a bread after baking and call it "artisan".

It's seriously hard to find good bread around...

You live at the wrong end of Wellington. Baker Gramercy in Berhampore shops bakes the best bread I've had in quite some time.

We also have a good baker. The subject is supermarket bread. And even the baker can't compete with the ones in Holland, Germany, France, etc.

The glass cleaner sounds like an idea worth trying. The black hole filth traps underneath the elements won't go in the dishwasher. It is still a hassle and I have to wonder if there isn't a better way.

Tyre dealers who tell you the tyres on your car tyres wouldn't get a warrant and should be replaced immediately, second opinion from another professional with measuring device shows they aren't anywhere NEAR as bad as that and probably have 3-6 months driving left on them.

With the wife away for 3 months. 14yo and I didn't keep it clean on a regular basis, so there was a bit of 14yo's cooking to clean up.

I made a thin paste of bicarb and water, bicarb is alkaline, and has disinfectant properties. removed the 3 grills, painted the goop on, left for an hour, wiped off with paper towels. Same with rangehood, easy. if you dont get it all off it leaves some chalklike substance. Spray with white vinegar, thats also a cleaner, it reacts to the bicarb, wipe off after it stops minor bubbling. I did the same on the bottom of alu windows, where condensation has been, now some mould, as that are behind closed blinds 24/7. Easy.
