Westpac has managed to break my bookmark to online banking, as the old URL is now redirecting to "bank.westpac.co.nza". Sigh.

Edit 27/1: Fixed. It was still broken a few days ago so it took a while!

This:

In an otherwise empty street!

And no-one visible, or flashing lights etc!

If the Police can't even obey the Road Code, what hope is there for the public?

Doesn't look good, but one swallow doesn't make a summer.

Initially thought you meant police cars in general. I am more hesitant with driving decisions when I see one because I'm double and triple checking more than usual. Overall it's great they're cruising around lots, but would prefer they were in mufti.

The quandary of eating out in South East Asia: go where it's airconditioned, 3x more expensive, and less tasty, or the alternative where (from personal experience) there're more flies and the risk of some gut rot seems about 10x higher?

Have happily eaten at local places and street stalls many times without any problem, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (especially Thailand), Burma, Lao. Someone else did get very, very ill after eating in a fairly primitive Laotian river village. Fortunately I am a vegetarian.

Or it could just be a human error.  Police officers are people too and they sometimes make mistakes just like you and I.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
