afe66: Moan moan moan but not prepared to do anything.

Forward to local newspaper?

How do you know I have done nothing about (This is just the latest example) of an ongoing issue?

Long story!

Long battle re parking on the Hydrant!

CCC Traffic Engineers been involved - waste of time!

Local Counsellor - waste of time!

CCC Parking Enforcement - semi waste of time!

Set fire to the cop car - then they’ll have to move it to get access to the hydrant to put it out.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Have happily eaten at local places and street stalls many times without any problem, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (especially Thailand), Burma, Lao. Someone else did get very, very ill after eating in a fairly primitive Laotian river village. Fortunately I am a vegetarian.

Ditto.  I line up with the locals and eat street food cooked in front of you.  Best Thai meal I ever had was at the only food place in a rural village.

The temperature control in Nelson's new sustainable airport terminal is hopeless.  It was about 25*C inside there yesterday arvo.

Fortunately the Koru lounge had it's own conventional A/C and was nice and cool.

I go one step further and eat with relatives who live locally and frequent the specific eateries. While a lot of what we eat is fried or boiled til kingdom come, I do have a penchant for fresh cut chili (as do the rellies)...

I'd do that if I had rellies anywhere interesting.  Lake Taho is the most exotic location a relative of mine lives these days.

Because you said "they would come up with some excuse" rather than "they didnt do anything about it"

People who drive really close behind you when you are going up hill as though their mere presence there can magically give my car more power to get up the hill faster!

what car are you driving and how steep is the hill that you cant do the speed limit up it and if you cant why cant you move to the left and let people pass.

My Jimny has the performance issues ... it's a hill entering Dome Valley from Warkworth direction, starts off at 80km/h limit before the hill (which doesn't help the Jimny which wants a run up) then single lane with double yellows, then half way up there is the passing lane ... so they only have to wait about 600m and then they can pass.

Jimny only drops to about 70km/h on the hill .. I could get more by thrashing it in a lower gear but its my car and petrol and I don't want to.

I have far more tailgaers when in the Smart, seems to attract people who MUST try to overtake it no matter what speed I do :)

I misread this as "My Jimmy has the performance issues". Thought you were going to complain about the meds you ordered online not working.

A region 4 DVD came with a card in the box where the booklet normally is, saying that to reduce waste they now have a PDF instead of a physical book. The listed website then pops up a geolocation error and refuses to provide the PDF.

Possibly a bit outside the scope of this thread, but I'm annoyed that I was kicked from a Facebook group that I was part of for over 4 years (and contributed a LOT to - more than some of the other members who just sat there reading the posts and contributing next to nothing) with no reason or warning given, and to top it off I can't even follow up with the Administrator who runs the group or ask him what I did, because he blocked me.
