A while ago I bought a company of heroes three pack because I loved playing that game... Went to authorise it but one of the codes was missing from the box... It then blacklisted my other two dvds so now none work and the. 'support doesn't want to know.... 😒

Stuck behind an inappropriately-named Mercedes Sprinter, with an average speed of maybe 8 km/h.

You Tube.

Filled with "Dave The Tech Squirrel", "Ted The Phone Ninja", "Jane The Tech Chick" etc etc ad infinitum ad nauseam.

Each and every one attending the same product launches and getting the same free stuff and the same free phone/computer/tablet/ear buds/drone/camera etc etc to 'review'.

Each and every one beginning their review with "What is up You Tube" and referring to the item being reviewed as "this guy"

Getting sick of it...

The most honest comment I've seen in this realm is "Please like and subscribe so I get paid and can keep bringing you these videos".

My son's Samsung IconX wireless earbuds lose volume due to a buildup of earwax (ewwww) over the speaker grill. There are numerous YT videos proclaiming to have 'solved' this problem. But most of them involve removing the grill, taking out the absorbent pad underneath it and then replacing the grill.
They have heaps of likes and comments like "Thanks man, you totally solved my problem!"
I have felt like adding a comment along the lines of "Thanks man, totally voided my warranty by removing the part that prevents wax and moisture getting into the speaker driver and electronics!!"

Just for the record, Samsung supplies cleaning kits that include replacement grills and pads. A much better solution and there are a minority of YT solution videos that point this out.

Maybe apply this formula

YouTube Solution - credibility of producer + common sense = possible solution

Avoid hands on "reviews".

Translation: I've had this item on my desk for 10 minutes, here's a film of me taking it out of the box (for God's sake, why??) And then I'll read the Spec sheet to you.

Every other hands on video will be identical and there are two dozen.

Don't forget to hit that notification bell!

Or "Ten things you didn't know about.........."

Quite presumptuous to assume I didn't know these things, and some of them are pretty inane.

An oldie but goodie.

Courier companies.

New camera shipped to me on release day on Tuesday. Not arrived in the Wairarapa yet from Auckland.

Rang to ask why. All of a sudden, the local business that has been the depot for the courier company since ages ago has decided to not be the depot, yet the courier company has not updated any records to reflect that and will not deliver to that address.

Alternatives offered: drive 70km to collect your own parcel or hand it to Rural Delivery and get it on Tuesday, a week after it was sent from Auckland....

When someone double posts something (easy mistake to make on mobile or with a slow connection) and doesn't fix it themselves.

(hint - there's a "delete" button  in the edit post form)

People who post a topic in the wrong sub-forum and when the topic is moved send PM asking "I can't find my topic" (even though the personal profile has links to all discussions the user started).

People who post a topic in the wrong sub-forum with the excuse that s/he didn't read the forum list and didn't realise there was a more appropriate one.

My posts sometimes get moved but I really do go through the forum lists carefully and try hard to find the most suitable one. My problem is that my topics don't always seem to fit any category so they end up in off-topic (after which they get moved). I do try to get it right. Honest.

Racism, sexism, religious bigotry, etc = not okay
Ageism = Okay?

Just something small that really annoys me.
