Maybe its the stingy data allowances etc our Telcos offer that restrict folk in what they do with their phones.
I doubt it. People using internal office network.
Stingy Systems Admin with 1995 data restrictions π ooops hang on I might have been one of those.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

People with phones capable of taking photos with a gazillion megapixels that post stamp-sized pictures when sharing photos with others - so small you can't barely recognise people's faces.

Maybe its the forum they are uploading to cant take larger files <ducks and hides>

You assume too much. It is not to a forum. The platform allows huge files. People are uploading on an office network.
Assumptions are bad. As an IT manager you should've known it.

I was taking the mickey but OK.
Not all organisations have unrestricted data allowances. The last organisation ( a very large nationwide org) had restrictions on the size and type of files that could be transferred by one and all even though it had large resources. This was for security and to stop folks from sending around a fist full of weekend snaps, videos and other non work related files.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
Thank no-one got my "Shrink! I want to kill..." quote in another thread.
You're not fit for the Group W bench.
I had something small that really annoyed me and thought it was perfect for here...
Turns out what is more annoying is forgetting what it was before getting to post it π€¬
I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.
Ordered something from England, with tracked delivery. Royal Mail's site says that it arrived in NZ on the weekend and to use NZ Post's tracking for further info. NZ Post's site says that the parcel isn't tracked. As it's now Wednesday and it still hasn't turned up, I'm starting to get a little worried...

It can take them (NZPost) 10 days to get an item from Auckland arrival to me in Christchurch!
(Happened more than once)

NZ Post's are liars.
Their Websites states "We aim to deliver standard parcels within our delivery target of three working days, no matter where the parcel is sent from."
When I complained about a package being "in transit to local depot" for a week, this is the BS I got back...
"The 3 day target you're referring to is for our domestic services. Items that have been sent with NZPost within NZ. Items that have been sent from Overseas have been sent on the Overseas Postal Agent's service standard to NZ e.g UPS, RoyalMail. Once these items have been cleared from the International Mail Centre, we provide a targeted timeframe of up to 5 working days for delivery. If you're disputing this, you would need to take up with the Sender as we are only the Delivery Agent. This parcel has not been on a NZPost service, rather, a service provide by the Overseas Postal Authority."
Sigh. Well then, hopefully by the end of the week. I've been spoiled by overnight couriers!
Edit: Arrived on Thursday afternoon.

Fraudulent Use of the DHL Brand
Attempts have been made to defraud Internet shoppers by the unauthorized use of the DHL name and brand via email communications and graphics which appear, on the surface, to have originated from DHL.
In most cases the communications concern the sale of consumer goods over the Internet where payment may be requested before the goods are delivered.
Please be advised that DHL does not request payment in this manner. DHL only collects money due for official DHL related shipping expenses.
This security notice does not affect the obligation of a consignee to pay shipping, customs, VAT or similar charges, where these are properly payable at the time of delivery.
DHL accepts no responsibility for any costs, charges or payments made which were improperly incurred as a result of fraudulent activity.
After rearranging the furniture a bit, and moving away from the Ethernet socket, I just tried to use my PC's inbuilt Wi-Fi for the first time. Apparently it's defective. This poses two problems: In the first case I have no idea whether it was DOA or whether it subsequently failed, and secondly given that it's about 4 years old at this point I'm sure that the retailer wouldn't play ball in any case.
I think the easiest solution would be to put everything back how it was and go back to a cable!
