Geektastic:

If you are hiring people to write articles in English, in an English language newspaper, I would have thought that excellent written English was a necessary requirement of the successful candidate.

Mwahahahahahahahaha.

No, I laughing at the requirement, which is certainly not enforced in those publications.

I woulda thought being up with the latest sleazy celebrity gossip and crap like that was more relevant to the likes of Stuff nowadays. Oh and having a good understanding of how to write click bait headlines.

One thing on Stuff on line is on my tablet when I go to the technology section I get greeted with about 6 anti Facebook articles before you see the new tech news. Guess it's because stuff sees Facebook as a main competitor for their crappy Neighborly.

I suspect there are only two:

1. a pulse, and

2. willing to work for minimum wage.

But I'm not altogether certain about #1.

The main headline in today's local paper is about someone putting a cone on the head of a local statue. If that's the biggest issue in this community then I'll sleep easily.

"The photo of Arnott's Shapes crackers that will blow your mind"

How do they write that BS with a straight face? I'd be too ashamed.

Coneheads are dangerous alien infiltrators. I'd be more concerned if I were you...

It's OK; it's almost 10 km from that statue to my place!

Edit: Although come to think of it, aliens would probably fly instead of follow roads. Make that less than 2 km...
