I get that. I work from home, have a doorbell, no ring. Check at 7-30, card there. Last week, doorbell rung, then bang bang bang on the door, after 1 second, that's happened before too.

They are ina rush, no time to wait, I bet they get paid for the card delivery too, and someone else will end up dropping it off, the next day as if you call you can't, it's online and next day for failed delivery

No. It's the process, they appear to be incentivized to do this, or shall I say incentivized that it costs to take a little time, so they rush in or fail intentionally

My 2 cents worth, it's definitely a regional thing. We have customers that demand we supply their goods via a particular courier for various reasons. Our local CourierPost guy is awesome and goes above the call of duty to help us out.

Pro-tip if you're having issues is to use an alternative delivery point such as a nearby petrol station - obviously the recipient would need to be on good terms with all involved for this to work but it's something we often cater for.
