SJB:

Fargo Season 2. 9/10

Equally as good as season 1 although I preferred Billy Bob Thornton in series 1 as the 'series psycho' rather than the Indian guy in the second series.

And the spacecraft thing in series 2 was unnecessary and slightly silly.

I didnt think Season 2 was as good as season 1.  Noah Hawley has a particular style which appeals but the storyline seemed a bit OTT compared to Season 1.

What are your thoughts on Season 3 so far?

Haven't started season 3 yet. What's Ewan McGregor like?

On my list as Netflix just added it. S1 was really good. So funny.

I'm just enjoying Whitechapel.

We've been watching Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix very much enjoying it however we've only watched in two sittings with only a couple of episodes to go I think it's going to be a case of not enough lol.

I did see that F is for Family has a second season arriving this month so looking forward to that too.  In between we'll watch Sense 8 season 2 first season was great.

House of Cards (the original). 8/10 A classic.

Watched all 3 series with Ian Richardson as Francis Urquhart.

His initials summed up his attitude to the British public and his fellow MP's.

Really enjoying American Gods so far, just finished ep 2. I do wonder what it looks like to people who haven't read the book though.

I just finished watching The Americans S4 last week.  I'm about a year behind, but have so much else on my watchlist I'm happy to catch up after the fact (provided I can avoid spoilers).

I really like this show.  I like the limited format (13 episodes vs traditional 22-episode seasons), which makes for a more condensed story and tighter writing.  I like the way they've built up the characters and the backstory, and the way respond realistically to devastating situations.  For instance, the way they've shown Paige responding to a big reveal in season 3 is still having repercussions throughout season 4.  I like that they don't just brush it off in a single episode.

Really looking forward to season 5, but will wait until I can cross a few other shows off my list first.

freitasm: Twin Peaks is coming!

I see that Sky is running a Twin Peaks pop-up channel from Friday till Monday. For basic subscribers until the double ep on Monday night.

Chance to binge on 25 year old nostalgia...

Have watched 3 episodes of The Handmaid's Tale based on recommendations in this thread.

A very good, if somewhat disturbing, "what if" account of a near future USA.

I've downloaded it but hadn't gotten around to watching it. Good to know it's decent.

The Game.

BBC-made spy thriller set in the 70's. Very good. It's on Netflix.

We watched this back in January 2015. Then started watching again a few weeks back. I mentioned to my wife "I think I know how this ends..."
