Technofreak: Good to hear. Those call centres must be run off their feet. It must be a nightmare for them.
Imagine being the person in charge of managing the staffing schedules and trying to manage call waiting times, talk time and generally trying to run the queues with diminishing staff and irate callers. Nightmare times
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
afe66: Was very surprised that they were still adding change fees online.
Surely it would be easy to suspend that fee for a week and enable all rebooking to be done without resorting to phone staff.
In a lot of systems, that isn't a switch you flick :)
COVID-19. It's a very small (microscopic) thing, but very annoying...

COVID-19 is the disease, and it's a big thing. SARS-CoV-2 is the microscopic virus causing it.

Yep. It's a Measles/Rubeola thing, or AIDS/HIV. The virus is named to be useful to virologists. The disease is named by WHO to enable discussion.

NZ grown garlic at $45.95/kg at the local supermarket - and there was only a few bulbs of scruffy-looking tail end stuff left at the bottom of a bin. Seems the cheap Chinese stuff has run out for now (I never buy the Chinese stuff anyway) - and panic buying has set in.
Stop your panic buying morons - or stick to dunny paper. Garlic does not stop the virus. Prayer to the FSM might, and I need garlic as an ingredient in a sacred ritual - we drink his sauce to thank him for his sacrifice.

Strong garlic breath reminds people to keep their distance.

Simply reduce the number of items to be purchased to a limit. Police arrested a guy who got aggressive when trying to buy 50kg flour and was offered 20kg only from the supermarket staff. At the end, he got a free ride and no flour at all.

If not there should be, especially with duopolies.

how does one tell the difference? Is Chinese garlic inferior? What about wasabi - is that inferior to Korean?
