I don't have any sort of network storage, I'd like to use it with my Raspberry Pi and the devices in our family to watch movies and TV shows, and backup the computers.

I use an old itx board in a small 1U case with 2x 2.5" drives in linuxraid.

Currently I have a WD 1TB passport which was my backup drive until the WD drive enclosure circuit board decided to stop working. It is now in pieces and another usb > sata adaptor working it. I would love to setup a NAS so that all the devices in our house can access it easily.

Just an old desktop with a 500GB HDD that gets turned on whenever a backup of my laptop needs to be made. As close to a NAS as I have :D

I have a Netgear readyNas Duo with 2x 1tb disks for the kids movies/show running the built in DLNA Server. i also have a Windows server with dual 250gb drives for storage (documents/photos etc) and an eSata enclosure with 2x1tb disks for mine and the Wifes TV Shows. the Windows box is running Servio as a DLNA Server so as i can connect to it from my Panasonic TV

Two of these in RAID:

WD Green 1TB. They will no doubt fail one day soon, they are acting as a non essential bulk data drive.
Not my photo, since its quite some effort to detach the tucked away cables inside a case.

I'm personally running two custom NAS appliances in the UNAS NSC-800 8-bay cases running debian linux. Both are running linux software raid 6.

Will upload pics when I get back home.

Although I probably don't need any more storage at home, the most likely use I'd have for this is to set up an offsite backup located at a family members house. They'd be able to use it to stream media to their TV also.

Three computers of various generations with various drives storing various stuff.
A couple of 640GB USB drives for very, very modest backups of the most critical stuff.

REALLY REALLY want something that'll RAID my disks for me and have sufficient storage to let me consolidate too many years of hoarding. Can't afford to buy anything close, crossing fingers and toes daily...

I have a D-Link DNS-320

I made the wrong decision with the hard drives and bought cheap green drives. Now performance is very poor. Only good for document and photo backups grrr..

My current storage solution is a USB port on my second router.
It has nothing connected to it 90% of the time.

My media center is full (single 3TB drive) and there's no space in the case for another disk!

Closest I come to a NAS box is a hard drive plugged into my TP Link Router. I'd love this NAS mainly just for the high speed network storage for streaming media but also because it's got an inbuilt torrent client to let me download my, um, Linux ISOs when I'm not at home and my laptop isn't either. It'll also let me use my new unlimited plan to seed my actual Linux ISOs and other community-type torrents 24/7.
