Hi all. Firstly, just want to say that as a supplier to C1 of Cowon products and the HDHomeRun, if anybody has purchased these products through C1 we are quite happy to deal with you directly for after sales and warranty support.

I've just spoken to the liquidator and for suppliers there is really no hope of getting a cent back - we are out quite a few thousand over this. I think the worst part of it is that direct customers like you guys are going to be hit hard though - as people have mentioned, legal costs are going to cost WAY more than it would be worth.

Anyway, what I'm really interested to find out now is whether anyone is still waiting on Cowon or HDHomeRun products from C1 that they have paid for but not received. C1 was still ordering product from us up to last Wednesday, so I'm hoping that all customers received the stock that we had sent to their warehouse - according to the liquidator there was no sign of any of our goods there on Friday.

I'd just rather know that the product all got out to customers as opposed to being taken back to Korea....

RexHavoc:
If anybody out there can supply me with an Acer Emachine Eme520 for $930.60 delivered

that right there is probably half the reason they went belly-up. That price is basically wholesale and after delivery costs you might make a dollar or 2. How they survived on those margins is beyond me.

You're right, I just made a special offer in this case to help out :D

Anyone here close to:
70 Gossamer Dr, Pakuranga Heights?

That's Won Il Kims address, the apparently director, but according to PC World he's fled to Korea overnight with his wife along with a lot of money :(
Someone might want to go door knocking and see if anyone answers

I recived a reply from fair go this morning, apparently 7 other people contacted them aswell

hanks for your email, we have had several other complaints about this
trader.   The Ministry of Consumer Affairs website has some very good
advice relating to shopping on-line and how to seek redress when things
go wrong.   The site is:

http://www.consumeraffairs.govt.nz/consumerinfo/shopathome/internetshopp
ing.html

I would suggest though that as you, and several other complainants have
also mentioned, the shopfront has closed  down and phone calls are not
being returned, that there is very little likelihood of you making a
successful claim, unless you go through the Disputes Tribunal.

c1 was still shipping on wednesday. A package I recieved was picked up from c1 at 5pm wednesday 1st april, according to the courier label. Unfortunately it only contained the mobo and memory, but not the cpu:(. Fortunately I payed by creditcard:).

Our last package was received by them last Thursday. Interesting that if you look at who the company director is now, it's listed as being Clara. She was just their accounts lady. So it looks like they've given the company to her, then taken off - leaving her to pay all of the accounts that have personal security of the director. Not cool!

I live on Gossamer Dr... I will have a look at the place later and there's a pretty good chance that it is vacant.

i used national bank to make the deposit, dropped by and asked some questions, the lady went off and talked to the manager and yeah they cant do anything, she suggested the Disputes tribunal but you cant file a dispute against a bankrupt or liqudated company, i doubt the police can do anything either.

could try 0800 367222 see what the citizens advice bureau think, im also waiting for fair-go to get back to me, although im expecting much the same answer as boby55 got

court - meh too expensive

anyone else tried citizens advice?
