Handsomedan:

I don't need to be patient.

I have NZ Netflix, they need to give NZ dates and not US ones if that is what they are doing.

That is how you manage customer expectations.

I think they generally drop in the afternoon...

I think Netflix is restricted to the same time as CBS and it's not available until 8:30 pm EDT, which was 1:30 pm NZDT.

Is it available yet?

@shadowfoot , nope.

I can't even see any settings to get a notification for when it is available.

It's tedious checking every half hour or so.

I'd expect the episode to drop at 8pm NZDT, as that's when California ticks over to "today".

(and previously, that's when S01 episodes dropped)

And so it has come to pass.

Shame Disney+ don’t work to the same timescale for the Mandalorian (also premiering on 30 Oct).

If it drops any time before midnight on the 30th, that’s still the 30th - NF haven’t said what time in NZ on the 30th It will be available.

If NF had said it was available in NZ on the 31st, then still released it on the 30th US time, you would have been able to see it from after 12:01 am on our 31st. Would you have been happier with that?

My annoyance was more at the delay here, 24 hours after downloadable episodes started popping up online.

Never mind that now though, off to see if the Mandalorian is ready for viewing. 🙃

Yes, it is. And The Right Stuff as well. (Not last night, but they are there this morning.)

They can be my evening’s entertainment while I wait for the rugby to start.

When you walk into a shop and ask do you have any xxxxxx (an everyday item) and the shop assistant replies with ummm....errr....we used to have some.

About as useful as a really good bucket with a hole in it.

DHL.

Item shipped from China Tuesday afternoon, arrived in NZ Friday and got to PN at 9:40. Wow! Excellent work! Am I in the wrong thread? No! It then it sat there all of Friday, all of the weekend, out for delivery Monday morning. Now it has taken *longer* to get from their PN depot to my home than it did to get all the way from China.

Mobile apps that randomly forget their credentials, preventing you from using them. For extra icing on the cake, ones that cache their forgetfulness so that when you get home, dig up the credentials, and try and sign in again they tell you you can't sign in.

The parcel has been delivered. Surely I'm now happy? No! To add insult to injury, DHL reports that my parcel has been signed for (despite there being nobody at home) by someone whose name somewhat resembles mine.

The 'forgot password' link on most websites, which should instead be labelled as 'lost password'.

Do web developers seriously believe that people commit all of their passwords to memory?

Companies that issue statements of account on the same day that they send you the invoice. Statements are supposed to show outstanding balances so what is the point?!
