One of his biggest problems is he doesn't filter what he thinks. Even if you think something like that, saying it just causes so many issues.

Even though he won, he could easily have won by a landslide had he of stopped talking half-way through almost any sentence. The second half of his sentences is the half the nonsense comes out.

He won (apart from the democrats choosing a fatally flawed nominee) by using language in his speeches of a 4th grader. The "worst" reading age language out of any of the candidates on either side.

I believe that he won thanks to many things - the gerrymandering of electorates in Republican states, an appeal to bigotry supported by the alt:right, slandering of Clinton with the help of Russia and a multitude of "fake news" sites, and a US media reluctant to call Trump out for what he is.

Sure, there were many who were over the Democrats - but probably more who believed the message about "draining the swamp" was real.

I think you need to be a little fairer than that. A fair bit of what was written about Clinton was actually true. Not all of it, but enough to leave a pretty poor taste in people's mouths. Of the people I know who voted against Clinton, did so for the reasons there seems little debate about.

The email "scandal" as such, wasn't criminal from a legal perspective, but undoubtedly showed very poor judgement. The Clinton trusts and some of the pay to play stuff. Some voted against her for being a woman, others because she wasn't likeable etc..

Trump was smarter than Clinton in lots of ways (which to his credit does seem to indicate he can listen to others since he would not have known, given his lack of experience, how to do it), by targeting electoral vote key states at the end of his campaign.

What about we give our opinions to the op's first remarks, i.e the title of this thread? I'll start. You might be right, maybe the Pakistani (most importantly Yemeni IMO) villagers might be saying the same, but as pointed out by many here, there is no guarantee that this practice will stop.

I think rather than another boring left vs right debate, we could ask the bright people of Geekzone what they think about the morality and legality of military intervention, especially drone strikes.

Unlike your local dairy robbery, conflict and brutality in the middle east is historical, reciprocal, and refractory to external forces.

From my understanding of it Wikileaks screwed Clinton over. Others also had private email servers and she was never told what she did was wrong, problem was hers was hacked. I blame the huge IT Dept at the State Dept for allowing it to happen. She apologised over and over.

Trump wasnt smarter than Clinton, he was just a nasty dude with a whole lot of dollars and received all the media attention. Clinton was just unfortunate that her emails were stolen and published. On top of that The FBI Director assisted in her demise.

With all respect, I don't see how you can possibly maintain that. I don't recall a specific instance of him disparaging the LGBT community, but there is no question that he has been very disrespectful to both women and the disabled. Instances of both have been repeatedly broadcast all over the media. There is no way anyone who has not been in a coma can possibly claim these did not happen or are instances of false news.
