I don't blame Obama for his lack of success in domestic policies - the Republicans blocked him at every turn.  ( FWIW in 2008 I was a big fan of Obama.)     I do blame him for the drones  & bringing misery to civilians in Pakistan.   Obama massively expanded the use of drones.    For every terrorist the drones killed it has probably radicalised another 10.   So when another truck drives into a crowd in Paris/Berlin/London who can be sure that the driver was not motivated by the drone program?

So good riddance to a very hawkish President.    It is a very bad joke that this guy was ever awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Completely agree. I hope Trump is alot less interventionist than the Obama administration.

...and Trump is a dove?

Obama was definitely drone-happy. But Trump may well be far worse......

Yeah...the Nobel was more about Bush being gone......and a hope for a real change. But the messes the US made in Libya and Syria and the accidental drone killings in many other places was all wrong.

At least Obama didn't lie to invade anyone. There's that.

No.

That leaves just 200 other countries and territories to think about. ;-)

Personally I think what he is saying about repairing relationships with Russia is good sign. We don't need another cold war.

Without drones there would be many many more casualties.

Perhaps you should make your focus on Syria...sounds like Asad would be your hero?

Yes, let's see how Trump is going to "defeat ISIS" (he said only he can do it)... Come back to this thread in six months.

I'm not going to put words in the mouths of any Pakistani villagers, but do you really think they'd make a distinction between Obama and the USA military as far as who is killing them with drones?

Personally, I believe this will show how little power the President of the USA really has. If Trump can get everything he promised across the line then I will be surprised,
