So people who paid by credit will be able to just goto their bank/credit card company and request a chargeback, regardless of whether they're in liquidation or not, correct? Fortunately I got my order a few weeks back and even a refund because they didn't have stock on the item and I opted for something cheaper.  I feel really bad for the people who've outstanding orders and have paid by direct transfer.

I think it might be a good idea if someone developed a C1 warranty page, to let stranded customers know who they can go to, for warranties and what they can do since C1 isnt around anymore.
Also an idea of who other reliable sellers are so they're not going to places like SupercheapPC and getting ripped off even more...

Best bet is to go to the manufacturer. I had to do that for a BenQ monitor that failed and the online shop I had purchased it from had gone. Just make sure you keep the receipt from C1 as the manufacturer will need proof of purchase.
BenQ were great. Even though the monitor turned out to be a couple of months out of warranty they still covered it.

ASB called me this morning to say they've reversed my charge, so I've got my money back. Yay! It was only $140 so it was never a killer for me, but it's the principle!

Anyone who has had their bank refuse to reverse the charge on their CC should fight it.

Thats bollocks if you did not get what you paid for then they should be reversing the charge. As stated by snackos fight it. Do not take no for an answer. That is why you use credit cards on line. So you have some level of protection.

Yes, I paid by Visa. Using a credit card gives you some protection against these types of problems. I strongly suggest using a credit card if paying online.

If you paid by direct credit (into their bank account), chances are slim to nothing you'll get anything back. You can go to the bank as many times as you like, but they legally don't have to refund you anything, and most of the time you'll find they can't. Direct credits are not held in a "holding account" or anything like that. Once they go to the other bank, that's it. It's out of your bank's hands.

Credit cards give slightly more protection, but again, they're not 100% guaranteed that you will get a refund.
