I've often had two or 3 parcels come in the same day from different companies and they have always come duty free so far.

If you are worried then pay for them days apart but never been an issue for me so far with multiples coming at once.

Confirming 'whynot25' is still working as a discount code as of this morning.

So the first time using YouShop went very well. Excellent service and the tracking detail is fantastic.

I then went for a second time and now realise there seems to be a minimum delivery charge which does not equate well for 2 cheap blu-rays. $28.50 for delivery is over the purchase price for them both. Lesson learnt, should have read up more about it but before I pay up any suggestions on reducing this amount? I used the discount code ‘whynot25’ already for the first order which they sent me after signing up. Thanks

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes for the parcel to get to NZ (from US) once you have paid the Youshop warehouse and got the invoice emailed?

Just received:

The number of customers using New Zealand Post’s YouShop service passed 100,000 this week.

The overseas parcel-forwarding service provides Kiwis with a delivery address in the United Kingdom and United States so they can shop online and have their purchases shipped back to New Zealand. A delivery address in China will be added to the service within the next two months.

New Zealand Post’s Executive General Manager Customer Solutions Sohail Choudhry said the growth in customers signing up to YouShop was very pleasing since the service launched in the US two years ago. Equally important was the ongoing growth in repeat purchases.

“There has been continued growth in customer numbers month on month. And significantly, more customers are coming back to use YouShop repeatedly to ship their online purchases home, so that means sustainable growth.

“June and July 2014 were the fasting growing months on record, with the number of parcels coming though YouShop up by a record 8%. Since March, volumes are up 45% from the UK and up 18% from the USA.”

YouShop launched with a US address in September 2012 and the UK was added in August 2013.

“More customers are connecting with New Zealand Post digitally and the two things driving growth, after price, are choice and convenience,” Dr Choudhry said.

“We are committed to providing customers with excellent service though continuous innovation. Recent YouShop feature enhancements, including parcel search, push notifications for mobile users and flexible pickup and delivery choices to Postshop or ParcelPods, are a response to what our customers want."

YouShop China will be launched in October and a consolidation option for users which will enable items bought from different retailers within a country to be repacked as single parcel is also being developed.

Postage from China is generally slow, but reliable and incredibly cheap. Curious how youshop China will be priced.

Don't see me ever using youshop China, most of the retailers there already do cheap postage to New Zealand. Bring us youshop Australia please!

Yup. Completely agree there. I have never had an issue sending stuff from China to NZ

I think the money would be better off making the service cheaper or hurry up and bring in the option to consolidate shipments.

There are plenty of reshippers in China who will do this for you, for 5-10% of the purchase price + international freight; they will ask questions/give details to the vendor, purchase and pay on your behalf, receive and check the product, takes photos, consolidate and pack, and ship it to your door by your choice of carrier.  Buying from China needs that extra help really from a local (unless you're buying from A/Express directly of course)

Will be interesting to see how the NZ Post offering goes.

Aside: I wish NZ Post was as progressive in expanding it's options for sending from NZ as it is in sending to NZ.
