I have been reading the policy document.  Just curious.

1.  It says that risky places classified by the govt or any acts of things like military, terrorist are not covered directly or indirectly.  I heard that and understand if you were in London or Bangkok "already" at that time before issues broke loose, and had to come home early, you had to pay yourself.  But what happens if you are there and your hotel room was broken into or if you were in a different city of that country?  Just wondering if this exclusion is a blanket cover because it is under the "general exclusions".

2.  Due to the excess it's only plausible if your travel has been delayed more than 1 night.  But anyway, these things are not classified as "emergency" so you don't have to ring the hotline first.  They may say $200 excess and they will only pay $250 max per night/day.  What is the guideline in terms of hotel selection?  I would think that you cannot book the fanciest place ie. you pay $200 excess and they pay $300.  Or do you just go to a 3 star or the holiday inn or maybe just a motel?

Cheers.

In all seriousness I wouldn't listen to any advice that anybody on here gives you! Smile

Best bet is always to ask your insurance company..
