Can anyone recommend a deccent and sturdy, make/model of stunt kite suitable for beginner to intermediate for use in Wellington.  Looking for something up to 2m span that can handle up to wind force 6bft.

We've recently bought one but it has started to rip near one of the joins after 3 goes.
Had fun while it lasted though:




Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I'm not sure there is a store in wlg now. There still is in AKL, Nelson and CHC. Looked at foil type? the kiteboarding 'trainers' that ozone and PLK produce from the likes of kitesports are basic enough. No rigid spars to worry about. But they can be a little slower and cludgy to work with.

However if you want something to mount a camera to
(which will be putting a lot of extra strain on them by the way. Extra weight means it holds it into the high-pressure zone longer than it would normally be subject to and strain the joints and high tension points across the skin)

You'll need to go a little further abroad than WLG. kitesports.co.nz kiteworks.co.nz kites.co.nz

I still have a hand-made 3/4 Solstice going strong after.. well I think it was signed '92 when they made it from kiteworks :) Only now is it starting to show signs of death with the trailing edge wearing through the stitching and material failing.

Really want my australian built one to be fixed :( 2.3m wingspan (delta still!) with wing battens and a front spine spar, turning the whole thing into a giant wing I was able to buggy or sand-ski behind while maintaining the speed of a stunter
