I no longer support the Government contributing to this venture. I don't believe what we got out of the Americas Cup would have been worth what we put in, and if their Execs are on $2m then I don't see any logical reason for needing Govt Sponsorship.

I think the exception would be if we had won and were hosting, as the money could be used for additional infrastructure which benefits everyone. 

I have no real issue with Daultons salary if he is privately funded.
