I had a surprise this morning when I looked in the Tap & Pay settings on my mobile:

This was not an option yesterday. I know this because I opened an ANZ account yesterday so I could use contactless payments from my phone (not the same device) and it was not in the options on there at the time.

Of course I had to try it out, but I didn't get far:

There were no applicable options in the App, so I spoke to branch staff at ASB and they had no idea this was even coming. They checked their intranet and apparently it's "Coming Soon" with no current ETA. They were not able to sort any kind of virtual card for me to make this operational.

So I hope this means that ASB is trying out HCE for contactless payments? These screenshots were taken on my HTC One M7 with GPE firmware, but it's also selectable on my Nexus 6P.
